Dewey is a social reading app for keeping a library, saving drafts, and sharing reading activity with people you choose.

Information Dewey handles

We handle account and profile details, your library and drafts, and content you choose to post or share. If you use friend discovery, we process contacts you select for that purpose. Phone verification uses Twilio. We also process sign-in information when you use email, Google, or Apple sign-in.

How information is used and stored

We use this information to operate your account, show your profile and reading features, find friends when requested, prevent abuse, and support the service. Supabase provides authentication, database, and storage services. Google Books may provide book metadata. Dewey uses bounded first-party analytics; event data is retained for up to 90 days.

Service providers and notifications

Twilio processes phone-verification messages. Google and Apple process sign-in as applicable. Expo and Apple Push Notification service help deliver notifications when enabled.

Choices and safety

You can manage profile and library information in the app, choose whether to use contacts or notifications, block or report users, and request account deletion through the app.

No advertising sale

Dewey does not sell personal data or use it to serve ads.
